Welcome to Machias Bay Chamber Concerts

Machias Bay Chamber Concerts was established in 1970 with the help of Bay Chamber Concerts of Rockport, founded by Thomas and Andrew Wolf. The organization's purpose, in addition to presenting summer concerts, is to encourage the appreciation of quality music, support young peoples' studies and performance of music. The organization sets aside $1,000 annually which is available to local schools to bring two or three music programs to the schools or to take students to the Bangor Symphony Orchestra. Machias Bay Chamber Concerts also presents funds annually to six area high school students who have improved in their music studies during the current year. During their first season, the Machias Bay Chamber Concerts presented three concerts; today they offer six concerts in July and August at 7:30 p.m. at the Centre Street Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, in Machias, Maine.
The Machias Bay Chamber Concerts 2009 Concert Season marks the 40th season for the Machias Bay Chamber Concert series!
There will be six exciting concerts featuring many internationally known artists. All concerts will be held on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 PM in the Centre Street Congregational Church, in Machias. Tickets will be $15.00 for adults and $8.00 for students. Children under 12 are free. Season tickets are available. Following each concert, a reception is in the church vestry where concert goers will have the opportunity to meet the performers and view works by many local artists.
